We had such a wonderful time at Pilchards in Noss Mayo. The property was spotless and the size was perfect for the four of us. The kitchen was well equipped, the shower brilliant and the beds comfy. Noss Mayo was a lovely spot with two great pubs, and the SW Coast Path and Cellar Beach being in walking distance meant we didn’t touch the car for the first four days. The local play area was an added bonus. The fact that we instantly booked Pilchards again for next year says it all. The owners, Gabrielle and James, were the most helpful and kind but completely unobtrusive hosts you can imagine.
When it comes to breakfast selection, it would have been nice to have more variety.

The location of the cottage was convenient, with easy access to the water for paddle-boarding or canoeing. the cottage was also bigger than expected, providing plenty of room for a family. the twin bedroom was well-designed and would be great for teenagers or siblings. the kitchen was well stocked with cooking utensils.
The cleanliness of the place was disappointing. the floors and drawers in the bedrooms were dirty, and there was a noticeable damp smell throughout the cottage.

I had a wonderful time at a charming coastal escape. The cottage was beautifully cozy and had the perfect blend of modern amenities and old-world charm. Everything I needed was generously provided, and the hosts, Gabrielle and James, were warm and welcoming. The location was idyllic, surrounded by stunning scenery and close to the coast for peaceful walks. The log fireplace was a true highlight when the weather turned cooler. Although parking was a bit of a challenge during the busy Regatta time, I was able to find free parking in the center or at the local tennis courts. I highly recommend this lovely cottage for a relaxing getaway.
